Of Stories and Dances

On Saturday, April 8th, Filling the Cauldron will feature two special events, one of which features dance, the other stories and the spoken word.

Fantastic Tales with Senchai Library

Between 1:00pm and 2:00pm on Saturday, April 8th, Seanchai Library will be joining Filling the Cauldron and bringing us an hour of classic stories, tales and extracts from the world of fantasy literature.

Seanchai library staff and volunteers have been presents stories and literature-related events in Second Life for the last nine years (they actually celebrated their ninth anniversary at the end of March. They have been partners with Holly Kai Park, where Filling the Cauldron is being hosted, since the launch of Stories at the Park in 2016, and they have been a mainstay of Fantasy Faire’s LitFest for the last several years – and will be there once more in 2017.

Fantastic Tales  brings several leading members of Seanchai Library to Filling the Cauldron, and we cordially invite you to come and take your place on a cushion at the Story Circle in the main event area for FTC, alongside the art displays.

Simply sit, turn off the music stream (if you have it playing) enable voice (you don’t have to have an active microphone, but you will need voice to hear the stories), and then let yourself be taken on journeys to mystical realms, far-away places and lands beyond time.

  • When: Saturday, April 8th 1:00pm-2:00pm SLT
  • Where: The Story Circle, near the FTC Welcome Area

Monarch Dance Troupe Amnesia

From Diiar Vader Shippe, Monarch Lead:

A Trip Down Memory Lane.

We tried keeping it simple, we tried only bringing back old work for this one time performance.  We failed.

So allow us to invite you to join us on a trip along our twisting memory lane! 6 very different dance performances, with original builds, choreography and a wide assortment of music take you back and forwards, up and down in time. Our time. The Monarchs’ time. To a distant past and a hopefully not so distant future.

If that is not incentive enough to join us…Consider this: There will be unicorns, giant robots, girl power, magic pianos and a new spin to a classic tale…and dragons!

And all for a good cause!

Please note that we recommend you arrive early to secure your seat and lower your script count as much as possible before landing! Thank you.
